Essay

The study targets: heavy metals, morphological characteristics of blood, morphological structure of organs and tissues, characteristics of mineral and protein metabolism, blood enzyme activity, chemical composition and biological value of meat, eggs, fish, pectin supplement. The study objective: hygienic assessment of the migration pathways of cadmium, copper, lead, zinc and mercury in the components of the Southern Ukraine regional ecosystem, their accumulation and distribution in organs and tissues of different animals. The study techniques: zoohygienic, zootechnical, clinical, biochemical, analytical, toxicological, spectrophotometric and biometric. The scientific novelty of the study: pioneer determination of characteristics of the regional and zonal accumulation of heavy metals in soils, water, and forages. The species and age specific characteristics of the toxin pollutant accumulation in the organs and tissues of livestock. For the first time the ability of the pectin supplement to incorporate the heavy metal salts is proved. The chemical composition and amino acid profile of the pectin supplement were studied, and their influence on the metabolic processes in tissues, morphological characteristics of blood, mineral and protein metabolism, enzyme activity, morphological composition of carcasses and biological value of pork was shown (TU 10.9-00493008-001:2013 the pectin supplement). The species-specific patterns of the heavy metal accumulation in the tissues of carps and herbivorous fish, associated with the effect of water environment factors and toxin levels in feeds and water were elicited. The degree of implementation: based on the results supplement introduction in piglets, "The Recommendations on the Pectin Supplement Application in Rearing Piglets to Produce the Environment-Friendly Products" were developed and approved by the scientific-and-expert council of the Ministry of Agraroan Policy and Fiid of Ukraine (the Minutes No. 2 dated December 13, 2012). The field of application: veterinary medicine
