Essay

The object is the process regulating remuneration in a market economy; the goal is the development of theoretical and methodological foundations and practical recommendations related to the socio-economic regulation of remuneration in higher education, adapted to the social and economic problems of development in Ukraine; the methods are: historical-logical, abstract-logical, economic-mathematical, classifying-analytical, structural-functional, graphic-analytical, economic analysis, experimental; novelty: for the first time the theoretical and methodological bases of social and economic regulation of remuneration in higher education have been formulated; they are based on economic and mathematical models developed on the basis of identified functional relationship between the main labor indicators of universities; instruments regulating the number of academic staff positions have been substantiated; the theoretical and practical bases of labor costs regulation have been developed; the regulatory model of balancing the ratio of the number of students and the number of academic staff positions, which allows to substantiate the standards on the number of students per one full-time teaching position has been developed; economic and practical results - conceptual and terminological apparatus used in the sphere of remuneration and its regulation has been improved; theoretical positions of improvement the organization of remuneration on the basis of UT and the incentive system have been developed; scientific and methodological provisions for the assessment of pay level have been offered; a classification system of socio-economic conditions of formation mechanism of remuneration has been developed. The approaches to the systematization of social and economic problems of higher education have been developed; scientific and methodological provisions concerning the formation of labour intensity of educational work and ways to reduce it have been created. Some theoretical and practical provisions to improve the management of higher education on the basis of an automated control system of remuneration have been developed; The results of our research have been introduced into economic practice.
