The dissertation analyzes the development of the functioning problem of the professional development management system among the faculty members of the management departments of the universities in the Republic of Poland. The professional activity components are analyzed for faculty members of management departments in Polish universities and management support of their professional development. The basis of the research concept is the contributions of the cognitive theory, the theory of human growth, the theory of human capital, the theory of systems, the theory of knowledge management. The scientific search was carried out taking into account the concepts of continuing education – life-long learning, organizational development as a complex educational strategy based on interdisciplinary, preventive approach and continuity. The professional growth is considered for teachers of the management departments in the universities of the Republic of Poland as a complex multidimensional phenomenon that allows a constant personal and professional growth and it is an important component of the system of life-long education. The professional growth is aimed at understanding the importance of personal attitude to the need for self-realization, self-development and self-improvement and depends on the perfection of the management system for the teachers of the management departments in the Polish universities. The effectiveness of the professional growth is ensured for teachers of the management departments by appropriate organizational and pedagogical conditions and the introduction of the development strategies for all subjects of management and self- management in the universities of the Republic of Poland. Studying and critical understanding of the constructive ideas of the Polish experience in introducing the professional growth system will determine the possibilities for its productive usage for the teachers of the management departments within the process of the management system modernization and continuous pedagogical education of Ukraine. The role of constructing the strategies is revealed for the management subjects in relation to the professional development of the professors of the management university departments of the Republic of Poland. The theoretical substantiation of the content of the organizational and pedagogical conditions and the corresponding content of the professional development management system are substantiated for professors of the management departments of the universities in the Republic of Poland. The system of stimulation and encouragement is analyzed: redistribution by the head between scientific research, educational and organizational activities (participation in working groups on strategy development, writing of international programs, Erasmus+); additional funding for university mobility (grants, programs, financial rewards for received patents, scientific advances); facilitating the career development of teachers (academic mentoring, academic coaching, leadership, scientific advisory). The main criteria ensuring the working conditions of the teachers of the management departments are following as positive microclimate, partnership policy; didactic, scientific and logistical support; open education, e-learning, USOS. The management model was developed, theoretically substantiated and tested for the teacher professional development within management departments of universities in the Republic of Poland. Monitoring of the implementation was conducted, and the criteria for the effectiveness of this model was specified. The scientific-methodical recommendations are formulated for leading and teaching staff of national universities concerning: management of teachers’ professional development of management departments of Ukrainian higher education institutions; algorithm of actions in the course of drafting, approval and implementation of individual strategies for teachers’ professional development of the management departments of Ukrainian higher education institutions. The scientific achievements of the completed dissertation research don’t exhaust the complex and multifaceted problem of creating a system for the management of professional teachers’ development of university management departments.
