The concept of «student’s readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space» is defined as a multidimensional systemic concept that represents: a number of professional abilities, providing adaptation and self-development in the future professional activity; development of personal qualities, ensuring the qualified support of spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in cross-cultural space; combination of professional qualities of a future specialist, which determines the level of efficiency and effectiveness of the educational process in a primary school; a certain mental state of a teacher, which reflects the formation of the pedagogical mentality. The study provides a scientific rational for the theoretical and methodological foundations of primary school teachers' readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space. This made it possible to reveal the features of the process under study. The essence of the concepts of «readiness», «future teachers’ readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space» is defined. Based on the achievements of modern humanitarian knowledge, the author has substantiated an essence of future specialists’ multicultural values, a praxe-dynamic approach, which allows to build actions of future teachers, which have a different impact on the enhancement of readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren. It also helps to build a system of abilities in their systematic combination, which influences this readiness. The structure of students' professional readiness for a certain type of activity has been substantiated. It includes motivational, informative-meaningful, activistic-behavioral, evaluative-reflexive components. The content, principles and methods of the enhancement of University students’ readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space, as well as pedagogical conditions of the effective implementation of the proposed model have been determined. The criteria, indicators and levels of University students’ readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space have been identified. Methods and forms of the enhancement of students' readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space have acquired their further development. The practical significance of the research results implies the development of content, forms, methods and productive educational methodology of the enhancement of students' readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space; design of educational-methodological textbook «Pedagogical Deontology» for the applicants of higher education of specialty «Primary Education»; design of an optional course «Spiritual and moral development of a primary schoolchild in a cross-cultural space»; compendium of lectures on discipline; instructional and methodological materials for seminars and practical classes; assignments for course and diploma papers; methodological materials for students’ self-study; teaching practice in primary school; assessment tools for the identification of level of future primary teacher’s readiness for the phenomenon under study. The content, forms, methods and productive educational methodology of the enhancement of students' readiness for the spiritual and moral development of primary schoolchildren in a cross-cultural space have been theoretically substantiated, developed and experimentally tested.
