The dissertation is devoted to the analysis of international relations in Central Asia, in particular, regarding bilateral and multilateral cooperation between
Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine, as well as a number of other international players in the post-Soviet period. For the first time
in Ukrainian political science, the dissertation work has been carried out the comprehensive study of the Central Asian course of international cooperation with
Ukraine through a systematic analysis of the transformation processes of interaction between Ukraine, the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the United
States of America and Central Asian countries.
It is proved that, along with traditional assessments of Ukrainian-Kazakh, Ukrainian-Turkmen, Ukrainian-Uzbek, Ukrainian-Tajik, and Ukrainian-Kyrgyz
bilateral relations, characterizing the processes of formation and implementation of modern Ukrainian foreign policy in the Central Asian course, an important element has a significant role and a certain affect the overall picture, which reflects the political and economic positions of Ukraine in Central Asia, and the presence of other international players in the region also acts in, in particular, China, Russia, the United States, as well as several of multilateral organizations with the participation of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.
The priorities and geopolitical accents of the foreign policy of China, Russia, the United States in Central Asia have been disclosed, in particular in the context of urgent
issues of interest to Ukraine in terms of potential and outlooks for the development of mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation between the Ukraine and
Central Asian countries on the bilateral basis, also as a part of multilateral relations involving global world players. It has been carried out the analysis of relations between China and Central Asian countries, generalized conclusions and presented the look over Central Asian foreign policy of China, the main trends, and prospects for its development. The aspects of the foreign policy of the Russian Federation in Central Asia, the dynamics of the processes of political and economic cooperation between Russia and the Central Asian countries have been shown. Conclusions have been given regarding the positions and strategies of Russia in Central Asia, in particular over the presence of other leading world states in the region. An assessment has been given the interaction of Central Asian countries with the United States. It has been reflected the facts and formulated conclusions over American policy in Central Asia, transformational aspects and prospects of relations between the United States and Central Asian countries in the context of their geopolitical interests in the region.
