Fylypiuk D. Formation of Professional Competence of Future Bachelors of Nursing Studying Obstetrics and Gynaecology Disciplines in Medical Institutions of Higher Education

The research is devoted to the problem of the formation of professional competence of future bachelors of nursing studying such disciplines as Obstetrics and Gynaecology in medical institutions of higher education. The degree of problem development concerning formation of professional competence of future bachelors of nursing studying such disciplines as Obstetrics and Gynaecology in medical institutions has been studied and analysed involving psychological and pedagogical theory and in practice. The scientific novelty of the obtained results lies in the fact that for the first time the pedagogical conditions for the formation of the professional competence of future nursing bachelors in the process of studying the disciplines of obstetrics and gynecology in medical institutions of higher education have been defined and theoretically substantiated: the integration of training exercises of professional motivational and professional value content into the methodology teaching disciplines in obstetrics and gynecology; expansion of the substantive potential of obstetrics and gynecology disciplines with the aim of intensifying the professional training of future nursing bachelors; ensuring the development of professional abilities, skills and experience of medical higher education students in the process of solving interdisciplinary situational tasks of a professional direction in the disciplines of obstetrics and gynecology; organizing students' independent work by using the project method in professional training; a structural-functional model of the formation of professional competence of future nursing bachelors in the process of studying obstetrics and gynecology disciplines in medical institutions of higher education was developed, designed taking into account the requirements for professional functionality and the quality of professional training of nursing personnel, which consists of several interrelated segments: target; scientific-methodological; procedural and methodical; control and evaluation; effective segment; improved criteria, indicators and levels of formation of professional competence of future nursing bachelors in the process of studying obstetrics and gynecology disciplines in medical institutions of higher education, which are based on the guidelines of the socio-professional environment of nursing activity and make it possible to determine the formation of components of professional competence; the components (professional-motivational, professional-cognitive, praxeological-active and personal-developmental) and the concept of "professional competence of future bachelors of nursing" have been clarified, which is considered as a personal characteristic of graduates of medical institutions of higher education and reflects the essence and specificity of qualified professional activities of medical nurses who have received the appropriate education, evidenced by the level of theoretical and practical training for future work in the specialty, which meets the requirements of the standards of a higher medical school and indicates the formation of a set of specialist competencies in accordance with the goals and objectives of the professional training of nursing bachelors. The main areas of innovation of the educational environment in medical institutions of higher education with the aim of forming the professional competence of future nursing bachelors in the process of studying the disciplines of obstetrics and gynecology; scientific ideas about the use of the pedagogical potential of innovative forms and methods in the educational environment of medical higher education institutions gained further development. The practical significance of the presented research consists in the development and implementation in the educational process of medical institutions of higher education the author’s program of professional competence formation of future bachelors of nursing studying Obstetrics and Gynaecology disciplines aiming at theoretical and practical development of professional competences by students in the context of future professional activity; the working out of recommendations for methodical improvement of Obstetrics and Gynaecology disciplines teaching, professional and practical training in medical institutions of higher education using modern pedagogical innovations. It was prepared a set of additional didactic units (video materials, situational tasks) for the disciplines Nursing in Obstetrics and Nursing in Gynaecology, not violating the requirements regarding their educational minimum. The results of the thesis were used in the educational process of four medical institutions of higher education.
