Professional education in the field of services is considered as students mastering the technological basics of the profession and at the same time developing their professional potential - a personal resource, thanks to which a person becomes an excellent specialist, successfully and creatively solves professional tasks. The relevance of the problem is confirmed by the contradictions between the need for highly qualified workers in the service sector and the insufficient social prestige of the respective professions; strengthening the orientation of the education system on student-oriented learning and insufficiently mobile restructuring on the basis of professional education; the importance of the professional potential of the future hairdresser for the formation of his professional skills and the weak scientific and methodological support of this process. The research work was aimed at theoretical substantiation, development and experimental verification of pedagogical conditions for the development of the professional potential of future hairdressers in the process of professional training in professional (professional and technical) education institutions. The features of a modern institution of professional (professional and technical) education as an environment for the development of personal and professional qualities of a future qualified worker, in particular, a hairdresser, and modern requests to which he must meet and which outline the guidelines for the development of his professional potential are analyzed. The structure of the professional potential of future hairdressers is substantiated (motivation for people-oriented professional activity; communicative competence of the future hairdresser; his technological competence; focus on self-realization in professional activity). Pedagogical conditions for the development of the professional potential of future hairdressers in professional (vocational and technical) education institutions are singled out (professionalizing influence of the educational environment of the professional education institution; pedagogical support for the personal and professional development of future hairdressers; formation). personal principles of professional self-realization in the process of professional training). A student-centered model for the development of the professional potential of future hairdressers was developed, and scientific approaches to its implementation were analyzed (human-centered, systemic, environmental, activity, competence, personal, technological). , acmeological, acmeological, axiological). For the experimental verification of the specified conditions, the following criteria were chosen: activity-motivational, communicative-competent, technologically-competent, self-actualization, a set of corresponding indicators, which are generally outlined at high, medium, low, and initial levels of manifestation. The method of implementing the author's model involves the implementation of pedagogical conditions for the development of the professional potential of future hairdressers in the process of professional training. The scientific novelty of the obtained results is that: – for the first time, the pedagogical conditions for the development of the professional potential of future hairdressers in the process of professional training were theoretically substantiated and experimentally verified: strengthening the professionalization of the influence of the educational environment of the vocational education institution; pedagogical support of personal and professional development of education seekers; formation of personal principles of professional self-realization of future hairdressers in the process of professional training;– developed a diagnostic apparatus for the development of the professional potential of future hairdressers in the process of professional training in vocational and technical educational institutions;- the principles of developing the professional potential of future hairdressers in professional training in vocational educational institutions are highlighted; – the main categorical and conceptual apparatus was clarified, in particular the concept of "professional potential of the future hairdresser", "development of the professional potential of a service worker". The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of their use in the training of future hairdressers in vocational and technical educational, as well as in the feasibility of applying scientific provisions and research conclusions in the process of training pedagogical personnel.
