Pidhornyi O. Preparation of future teachers of natural sciences to form holistic ideas about the modern scientific picture of the world in students

In the context of reforming national education, great attention is paid to the formation of a modern scientific worldview in students and adults as the basis for their personal and professional development. Today, the idea of the scientific worldview as a system of knowledge and as the basis of a person's scientific worldview is evolving and developing towards a holistic, systemic and synergistic worldview. Accordingly, approaches to reflecting this scientific trend in educational practice are being modernized. The purpose of the study is to substantiate and experimentally test the model of an effective process of training future science teachers to form students' holistic understanding of the modern natural science worldview and pedagogical conditions for its implementation. The scientific novelty of the study is that the author: For the first time:  clarified the essence of the concept of future science teachers' readiness to form students' holistic understanding of the modern natural science picture of the world, components (motivational and value, knowledge, procedural and activity, and worldview and reflexive) and their corresponding criteria, indicators and levels of formation;  the pedagogical conditions for training future teachers of natural sciences to form holistic ideas about the modern natural science picture of the world in students are substantiated and experimentally tested: actualization and further development of the cognitive experience of the student in the acquisition of general scientific and special subject knowledge on the basis of relevant content-theoretical generalizations and generalized methods of educational activities; selection and structuring of educational materials about the natural science picture of the world as a whole  developed a model of the process of training future science teachers to form students' holistic understanding of the modern natural science worldview, consisting of the following blocks: target, methodological, content, operational, empirical;  the criterion basis for diagnosing the state of readiness of future science teachers to form students' holistic ideas about the modern natural science picture of the world as a system in development is proposed; The theory and methodology of implementing an integrated approach in the training of future teachers of natural sciences on the basis of a sub-subject approach have been improved; They have been further developed:  theory and practice of the deductive approach to the formation of knowledge and ideas about the modern natural scientific picture of the world in the student;  educational and methodological support for the process of forming knowledge and ideas about the modern natural scientific picture of the world in the educational process of a higher pedagogical education institution in terms of training teachers of natural sciences. The practical significance of the results obtained is the development and implementation of innovative (integrated) curricula and work programs of future teachers of natural sciences (specialty 014.15 Secondary education (Natural Sciences) and physics (specialty 014.08 Secondary education (Physics and Astronomy) as didactic tools for training future teachers of natural sciences to form students' holistic understanding of the modern natural science picture of the world.
