Essay

Thesis for the doctor of technical science degree on the specialty 05.22.20 – operation and repair of the transport means (271 – river and maritime transport). – National university “Odessa maritime academy”, Odessa, 2020. In dissertation work scientifically grounded and the new conceptual deci-sion of scientific and technical pressing problem of marine and river ships opera-tion efficiency improvement is well-proven, which is carried out with the use of the first time offered and improvement of existent basic ship technical systems and complexes (STSC) high-efficiency control systems. The problem of providing of high-efficient ships operation is solving on condition of guaranteeing of it safe operation and creation of the proper terms at planning, construction, and tech-nical operation of different STSC. It is scientifically proven in the thesis the practical value of the offered new principles and methods: a) diesel-generator’s start and stop process tasks solving in SEPS control systems; b) SEPS load measurement and control using probabil-ity characteristics; c) SEPS control system top level control algorithms synthesis; d) generator frequency control adjustment and ship’s diesel-generators automatic synchronization process control (in deterministic and stochastic operation condi-tions). STSC with MAN B&W-ME engines operation specifics were determined, engine room simulators development requirements in educational, training and research system were defined, such simulators development prospects in SEPS operation part were offered. There were received new scientific results in the thesis, where in the frame of solving the stated scientific-technical problem was conducted an analysis of the current state and for the first time where solved theoretical and practical tasks of providing of the STSC effective control and operation.
